ROPAT - Romanian Public Transport Congress is a national platform dedicated to public passenger transport, organised by the Romanian Association for Smart City. It brings together central and local government, regulatory authorities, intercommunity development associations (ADIs) for transport, public and private operators, manufacturers, integrators and technology providers. The 4th edition takes place in Bucharest on November 18-21, 2026, with the Federation of Urban, Suburban and Metropolitan Passenger Transport Operators (TUSMC) as main partner. The theme of the edition: "Public transport after 2027: from operators' needs to the upcoming funding programmes".
Concept
Four days dedicated to public passenger transport, with a programme that runs from the public policy discussion to the depot visit: Wednesday, November 18, the welcome dinner; Thursday, November 19, the main day, with the conference and the Romanian Public Transport Awards Gala; Friday, November 20, the TUSMC Federation day; Saturday, November 21, working visits and technical sessions. Thursday's main day is streamed live, while the other three days are held in a restricted format. ROPAT is not just a conference but a framework for work and direct dialogue between the executive leadership of transport operators, representatives of the administration and of the institutions that set public policies and budgets, and the companies providing solutions and services to the sector.
