Who we are and what we do
The Romanian Association for Smart City (ARSC) is Romania’s leading national platform for intelligent city development. Together with public administration, industry and communities, we build digital and sustainable solutions to improve life in Romanian communities.
In 2025, ARSC became the National Contact Point for the Smart Communities Network (with the support of the European Commission) and signed its strategic partnership with Fira Barcelona / Smart City Expo World Congress, alongside OASC and EIT Urban Mobility.

Events with real stakes for the administration
ARSC will continue and strengthen the events that produce decisions, not just exposure: the Smart City Industry Awards, as a platform that recognises implemented projects, not promises; the Mayors’ Congress, as a space for applied dialogue between administrations and the ecosystem; thematic events on critical infrastructure, urban safety and public passenger transport; bringing ARSC into major events with economic and investment impact.

ARSC concentrates its expertise on areas where the bottlenecks are systemic: urban and metropolitan infrastructure; water, energy, safety and critical infrastructure; mobility, logistics and projects with regional impact; public investments that require inter-institutional coordination.
